84 - Ravan & Sita

Ram Ram, Namaste, Hare Krishna, Namaskaaram, Sai Ram, Bula, Salaam, Sat Shri Akaal !

Guru Jan Ko Pranaam !!

The recurring question that has bothered the ignorant for centuries is that “Why was, the mighty Ravan, unable to take Sita into his golden palace and marry Her ?”

Ravan represents the jeev or the praan. Lanka symbolises the human body. Sita ma depicts bhakti (devotion) and shanti (peace & harmony) – among many other forms. God (Prabhu) represents the ultimate peace (Shanti Niketa – eternal bliss) – among many other symbols.

A person may be able to collect many resources and tools (sukh ke saadhan) to provide him peace and happiness. Some of these resources are material things like money, cars, houses and multiple household implements like fridge, washing machine, microwave, dishwasher, kingsize bed, sealy posturepedic  mattress etc.
Despite all these elements to provide us with external peace and worldly pleasures, we are never at ease with ourselves, never in harmony with the surroundings. The more we have (golden palace, multiple beautiful wives), the more we want (what others have), and the more stressful our lives become.

Devotion (bhakti) with Dedication (shraddha) is the only way to attain satisfaction and contentment. One cannot force bhakti into submission. We have to submit to bhakti and she comes with humility and modesty. Get rid of ahankaar (pride), control your urges and respect each individual for what they are – not what you want them to be.

If the powerful warrior Ravan, with a golden palace and a mighty army could not submit bhakti (Sita Ma) – you, with your meagre worldly possessions, have no chance.

83B - Main Kabhi Batlaata Nahin (Song)

This song brings tiny droplets into my eyes. Hope you like it too.....

A special needs child, like all children, finds respite and comfort in his mum. No one else seems to understand him, but his mother does.

Main Kabhi Batlaata Nahin
Par Andhere Se Darta Hoon Main Maa
Yun To Main Dikhlaata Nahin
Teri Parwaah Karta Hoon Main Maa
Tujhe Sab Hain Pata, Hain Na Maa
Tujhe Sab Hain Pata…. Meri Maa

(I am afraid of the dark, but I am unable to tell anyone how I feel. I know you're the only one who understands me. I love you mum.)

Bheed Mein Yun Na Chodo Mujhe
Ghar Laut Ke Bhi Aa Naa Paoon Maa
Bhej Na Itna Door Mujkko Tu
Yaad Bhi Tujhko Aa Naa Paoon Maa
Kya Itna Bura Hoon Main Maa
Kya Itna Bura…. Meri Maa

I and afraid of crowds, I get anxious, I forget everything, even the way to my home. Please do not leave me in crowds. Don't send me away from you, to a boarding school. I love being around you ! I know you're the only one who understands me. I love you mum.

Jab Bhi Kabhi Papa Mujhe
Jo Zor Se Jhoola Jhulaate Hain Maa
Meri Nazar Dhoondhe Tujhe
Sochu Yahi Tu Aa Ke Thaamegi Maa
I'm afraid to swing but papa swings me fast. He doesn't seem to understand me. When he does that I look and search for you to come and comfort me.
Unse Main Yeh Kehta Nahin
Par Main Seham Jaata Hoon Maa
Chehre Pe Aana Deta Nahin
Dil Hi Dil Mein Ghabraata Hoon Maa
Tujhe Sab Hai Pata Hai Naa Maa
Tujhe Sab Hai Pata…. Meri Maa
I cannot open up to dad. While I do not show him, but I am very afraid inside of me. I know you're the only one who understands me. I love you mum.
Main Kabhi Batlata Nahin
Par Andhere Se Darta Hoon Main Maa
Yun To Main Dikhlata Nahin
Teri Parwaah Karta Hoon Main Maa
Tujhe Sab Hain Pata, Hain Na Maa
Tujhe Sab Hain Pata….Meri Maa

83A - Happy Mother's Day ‏ 2012

Ram Ram, Namaste, Hare Krishna, Namaskaaram, Sai Ram, Bula, Salaam, Sat Shri Akaal !

Guru Jan Ko Pranaam !!

Mother has been revered, cherished and worshiped since the beginning of time, but the female has been discriminated against ever since as well. As different cultures became educated the female has been accorded equality and freedom. However, the Indian society, despite an explosion in education, is still reluctant to accept a woman as an equal partner.

May all mothers, sisters, aunts, wives be respected and treated with equality, not just on Mothers Day - Happy Mother's Day to All !

29 - Kauravas were Doomed to Lose - Part 1

Ram Ram, Namaste, Hare Krishna !

Another observation from my FOFOF......

Shri Krishna is the Mun
Pandavas are our 5 Senses - Paanch Gyan Indriyan
Kauravas are our wishes - anant abhilaashaaye, never-ending kaamnaaye

The Chanchal Mun forces the 5 senses to dream of hundreds of wishes, long for things we wish would come true (The Kauravas)

The Pandavas (our Senses) are constantly fighting the The Kauravas (our un-ending wish list) - as long as the Mun remains Chanchal, without bounds, without direction, there is no chance of the Pandavas winning.

If, and only IF, we let Shri Krishna be the Commander (Saarthi) of the Pandavas Charriot (Rath), only then will the Mun get direction and be under control.

Shri Krishna (Mun) Controls the Pandavas (5 Senses) and only then The Kauravas (our kaamnaaye) can be defeated.

Prabhu Ko Man mein basaiye, Indriyon ko bas mein kijiye, Kaamnaaye khud bas mein ho jayenge !

(Sorry my small brain is not able to relate too well, but I'm sure you get the gist of it)

Jiwan Safal Bana Le Pagle, Shaam Ko Mun mein Basa le.....so goes the beautiful song !

A Very Happy Krishna Janam Ashtami to you all !
