94 - Bhagvat Gita Chapter 1 Shlok 4


Ram Ram, Namaste, Hare Krishna, Namaskaaram, Sai Ram, Bula, Salaam, Sat Shri Akaal !

Gita 1.4
अत्र  शूरा महेष्वासा  भीमा  अरजुन  समा  युधि
युयुधानो  विराटश्च  द्रुपदश्च  महाराराथः (Gita 1/Shlok 4)

Atra Shuraa Maheshwaasaa Bheema arjuna samaa yudhi
Yuyudhaano Viraatashch Drupadashch Mahararathah (Gita 1/Shlok 4)

अत्र  – यहाँ  (पांडवों  की  सेना  ), शुराः – बड़े  बड़े  शूरवी  हैमहेष्वासाः – (जिनकेबहुत  बड़े  बड़े  धनुष  है,   – तथा  (जो), युधि  – युद्ध  में,भीमा  अर्जुन  समा  – भीम  और  अर्जुन  के  सामान  हैयुयुधानः – युयुधान  (सात्यकी), विराटः – रजा  विराट – और , महारथः – महारथीद्रुपदः – द्रुपद  भी  है

Atra – Yahan (Paandavon ki sena mein), Shuraa – Bade bade Shoorveer hay, Maheshwaasaa – (Jinke) bahut bade bade dhanush hay, Cha– Tatha (jo), Yudhi – Yudh mein, Bheema Arjuna samaa – Bheem aur Arjun ke samaan hay, Yuyudhaanah – Yuyudhaan (Saatyaki),Viraatah – Raja Viraat, Cha – Aur, Maharathah – Maharathi, Drupadah – Drupad bhi hay
Some of the meanings of those warriors of the Pandava’s army:
Saatyaki – Truth, genuine, faithful, sincere
Viraat – Huge, Kshatriya, Intelligent
Drupad – Pillar, tower, leader

First we met Dhristdhumn who represents Confidence, Belief, Faith, Conviction, Hope & Truth.
The warriors from the Pandava’s army need to have confidence & faith (Dhristdhumn), uphold truth (Saatyaki), be an immensely intelligent soldier (Viraat), and a leader with towering ambitions (Drupad)to defeat the enemy. Who is the enemy ?
